On August 16–17, the first-ever installation of tram tracks using the innovative CONTRACK technology was carried out in Wrocław, on Jastrzębia Street. The project was commissioned by MPK Wrocław, and included the construction of a double-track road-rail crossing with an integrated rail system.

Six prefabricated concrete slabs were installed on-site — four measuring 6 meters in length and two measuring 13 meters. In total, the installation covered 119 square meters and 25 meters length. All elements were delivered as ready-to-install components, enabling precise and rapid assembly within just two days.

The use of CONTRACK technology offered more than just time savings — thanks to prefabrication, disruptions to local residents and traffic were significantly minimized. The system also ensures long-lasting performance, greater resistance to wear.

This project on Jastrzębia Street marks a breakthrough for Wrocław — the city’s first implementation of CONTRACK and a step toward faster, more efficient tram infrastructure upgrades. With reduced construction time and durable results, the solution paves the way for broader adoption in future urban transport projects.
