Wrocław - Jastrzębia - CONTRACK for the first time in Wrocław

On August 16–17, the city's first track development using the innovative CONTRACK technology was completed on Jastrzębia Street in Wrocław . The project was commissioned by MPK Wrocław , and the work included the construction of a double-track railway crossing with an integrated rail.

A double-track crossing with integrated rail and track spacing was installed.
Six warning panels were installed in the pedestrian crossing area: four panels 6 m long, two panels 13 m long.
Renovation completed in August 2025.

Six precast concrete slabs were installed on-site using PWP gantries – four 6 meters long and two 13 meters long. This totaled 119 m² of precast concrete surface and 25 meters of structure length . All components were delivered as prefabricated "puzzles," allowing for quick and precise assembly in just two days.

The use of CONTRACK technology not only saves time, but also, thanks to prefabrication, significantly reduces the construction burden on residents and road users. Tram service has already resumed. The project on Jastrzębia Street paves the way for broader use of CONTRACK technology in Wrocław. It's another step toward modernizing the tram infrastructure, ensuring modernity, efficiency, and minimal maintenance disruption. The next project using CONTRACK technology in the city will take place in September.
